ARIZONA Scenic Drive Looks Like CARS LAND!
This North Scottsdale road looks like CARS LAND! Imagine this being your road home! This 2-mile stretch of dirt road (N 136th St.) goes through incredible boulder piles and eventually dead ends at the entrance to The Tonto National Forest. There are actually a half dozen homes for sale off this road, ranging from $700K to $1.4M. There's also a dozen parcels of land for sale, ranging from $100,000 for 1 acre to $1.6M for 10 acres. The best part about this area in North Scottsdale, is that all homes have to be on at least 1 acre of land! Living in the country is the best! Let me know if you ready to buy or sell, and we will kick the dust up in the CanAm Defender!

Wow! Absolutely beautiful! Great job and God bless you!
God Bless you as well! Love your channel name!
Oh wow 👌 such a fantastic views of Arizona ❤. Loved the history of the old hotel 🏨. Beautiful roof top area 👌. Greetings from England 🏴 Simon and Beth ❤👋
Greetings! Thank you so much for watching! We don't have as much history here in Arizona as you have in England, so I'd love to see your old buildings one day!
Wow! I marvel at the way Jerome has been restored. Three siblings went to Jerome High School in the 1960’s
No Way! That is pretty awesome! Jerome has definitely come a long way, and is a popular place to visit now!
Somehow I dont think this looks "exactly" as it did in the 1800s. It's all modern inside. Still,it's beautifully renovated.
Basically used the blueprints to put things where they used to be (kitchen, rooms, bathrooms, etc)....but yes, definitely added some modern amenities! : )
@@WildWestRealtor It's still so well done a beautiful. I'm so glad it was renovated. :}
Its missing a pool tho
A rooftop pool would be incredible!
Love the exterior color as is
❤
Thank you!!
Wow…how much $$$ did they spend ???
I'm not sure how much the renovation cost! They bought the building in the 1990's for $190,000.
son, go upstairs and mow the roof.
hahaha!

Absolutely beautiful, what a great job they did. I moved to camp Verde in 1979 I lived in lake Montezuma for a while. My aunt bought a property on top of a hill in rim rock . Beautiful area.
That's incredible!! Arizona is the best!
@@WildWestRealtor what kind of listings do you have in the Verde valley? Looking for a couple of acres with power and water. I would like to put a prefab on it. Would be interested in land with a small home on it . Let me know we would appreciate it.
@@user-ch4ld2co6c Send me an email with more on what you are looking for, your budget, etc! I'm happy to help! brandon.hamilton@russlyon.com
Where did you get all the money to do this?
The people who renovated it bought it in the 1990's for $190,000. They spent many many many years fixing it up, slowly.
I can’t imagine that that place is big enough for these 2 peoples ego
Sadly, the husband passed away just 6 months after they completed the renovation. So, that's why it was sold. It's now owned by an investment company who uses is for rentals and events.
How much is it?
This sold a few years ago! It’s not currently for sale.
Had to slow down the video so I could see everything. mMade the music creepy, but one-second scenes just wasn't long enough.
25,000 sqft is a lot of space to cover! : )
It's just beautiful! I visited the wreck of this in the early 80s on a motorcycle trip. It is incredible to see it all restored! Jerome is a cool town with winding roads, going up, up, up.
That's amazing! Cool to see it then and now!
@@WildWestRealtor Yes, kind of mind-blowing, really! I really appreciate this chance to see it beautiful and transformed.
Every time I have been here I have to have time to just gaze at this beautiful place. I love it, love the work they did. This place is true love <3
Absolutely!! It's impossible to see every detail during just one visit!
Amazing place
It really is!
WOW!!!!! What a wonderful restoration. I'm glad you didn't tear what was left down to the ground and start over. We would've lost an important part of history. You gave it life again for new families to enjoy.❤
You know, that's what most people would have done! They would have seen a big pile of concrete and just demolished it! I agree with you, so glad history was saved and brought back to life!
WOW!!! What a wonderful revival of this historical site and building. I hope it always stays occupied for the enjoyment of the families who live there.❤
It's currently be used as a place to stay and a wedding venue....the owners who renovated it sold it a few years ago because the husband sadly passed away just 6 months after completing what was to be their forever home : (
Wasn't this in a movie?
You know, I'm not sure! It definitely should be in a movie! I'll have to look into that!
I could probably bet that the owner wanted to recoup money from his employee's and even had Ladies of the Night there to entertain the paying customers. I'm a retired Building Contractor and I have to say they did an excellent job renovating the building!
They didn't do anything fast. Took their time and did it right!
I lived in Flagstaff in the late 1950's and as a kid visited Jerome with my parents. Great to see a historic old building saved and restored beautifully. Thank you!
That's amazing! I would have loved seeing Jerome and Flagstaff in the 50's!
Beautiful.
It really is!!
Knew it was Jerome as soon as I saw the picture!
It's a unique town, that's for sure!
I would have turned it into a condo building. There is a market for one- and two-bedroom units just about everywhere. And such units are easy to sell compared to an eight-bedroom mansion in rural Arizona that must cost a lot to heat in winter and cool in summer.
That is definitely possible with this building. The owners who renovated it planned on it being their private forever home, but the husband passed away just 6 months after completion, so that's why it ended up being for sale.
One word kept popping up as I watched. Wow. Mad respect. I am wondering how much the total renovation cost.
Wow indeed!! I'm not sure how much the renovation cost, but it took them a long time to complete. Originally purchased the concrete shell in the 90's for about $190,000.
Exactly what I would have done!
Yes!! Save history!
Nice, beautiful place really cool
So cool! Thank you!
Wonderful! I visited Jerome during a tour of the S.W. in 2001, and remember being intrigued by the mysterious ruin on a nearby hill. It looked so imposing and substantial, and I thought how magnificent it would be to restore it. Little did I know . . .
Wow, so in 2001 they would have been in the thick of starting the massive undertaking of renovating this building! They were probably in there sawing wood during your visit!
The heat and air must cost a fortune.
Oh yeah! I don't want to see that bill!
WOW! Just beautiful.
It really is something special!!
I am so impressed how they renovated this building using the philosophy of restore rather than just replace. Anyone would be honoured to live there!
I agree 100% Not many people take the time to do that! This building deserved to be brought back to life with class, and they did just that!
Good luck finding parking in Jerome..
I know! Parking is always a mess up there!
Really nicely done, thank you for saving it. Would have been cool to have saved and refurbished a couple of the old hotel rooms, but that's just me.
I know! I wonder what they even looked like? Probably just rooms with bunk beds? When the owners who renovated it bought it in the 1990's, it was just concrete, so nothing was left that would even remotely look like a hotel to refurbish. They had to recreate this out of thin air!
So fake. It looks like just a bunch of real estate fraud. You didn't have to make up a big fake history to explain the real estate fraud
No fraud here. Just a genuine story of a couple who brought this place back to life!
@@WildWestRealtor very interesting to see who owns the property and who is trying to sell it. What year was that building developed? If it was researched would you find out it was actually untrue? What do you know about buildings with fake histories and those people in there that say they own them?
Can I come live there? I'm a good housekeeper!
I know, right? Would be such a cool place to wake up in every morning!
Jerome has been ruined by douchebags.
👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Cool property!
Definitely a labor of love.
Yes! Took some serious dedication!
Beautiful place,,, I wonder , is it for sale ????
As of right now, it is NOT for sale! But, that could always change in the near future! : o
Wo! ... Wow! Wow!!! I'm at a loss for words - It's stunningly beautiful!
I know! Wow is right! It's unbelievable!
Wasn't this also used as a hospital at one time??
There are the old hospital buildings up on the hill closer to the town, one is the Jerome Grand Hotel and the other building is rented it out to various businesses. I'm not sure if the Little Daisy was ever used as a temporary hospital or not.
@@WildWestRealtor Thank you for your quick reply. Take care and have a safe weekend.
@@WildWestRealtor I was thinking of The old Jerome Grand Hotel the most haunted place 👻👻 in Arizona. Oct 18, 2016 - It's believed that nearly 9,000 people died in the Jerome Grand Hotel during its previous life as United Verde Hospital.
@@ebenezerwheezer2957 Oh yes! The Jerome Grand Hotel is very haunted. My wife and I stayed a night there! We heard what sounded like a sick man coughing in the room next to us (the room was not occupied), we heard a gurney rushing down the hallway towards what used to be the surgical suite....we didn't sleep very well that night haha!
@@WildWestRealtor That's funny. It was about 15 years ago. My wife and I were there in Jerome. When it got dark my wife said I want to get out of here and we left. She had a big case of the heebie-jeebies.
We used to explore the Little Daisy hotel top to bottom in the 60s and 70s when it was an abandoned hulk. The head of the historical society told me it was originally built to accommodate the miners because of it's close proximity to the mine, but it wasn't popular with the miners and they used it little. The reason why is that the hotel was a distance from the town where all the bars and whore houses were located.
That is such a cool history nugget! That makes total sense!! Would have been a far walk to get to all the action! : ) An awesome that you explored it back then. I wish you had some photos of it!
Lovely!
It really is!
Wow, amazing. Visited Jerome Arizona in the early 80's and remember seeing the skeleton of a building. Truly an amazing restoration 🎉❤
That's so cool that you saw it back then! It really is an amazing building!
I see it is Air BNB now. I hope they have a lot of success.
Yes, the new owners are renting it and hosting events. Steep price though, $3,000/night! But great for renting it with a big group of people to split that cost!
Waste of time and money for a silly hotel nobody cares about
The original plan for renovating it was to be a forever home, not a hotel. Sadly the former owners husband passed away 6 months after it was completed, so that’s why it sold…..but yes, now it’s back to being a place to stay.
The tile-less roof on the corridor is weird to me, it's not like it never rains, snows, or gets hot around there. Otherwise, good job on the restoration & remodeling.
It does look like when it was originally built, the entire 3rd floor and balcony were covered, but when it was stripped clean, the roof was removed. I guess they were just keeping the theme of the roof and balcony up there all being open to the elements.
